Content & AI Policy
Last updated: 28 October 2026. This policy is part of our Terms.
JamSesh does not provide AI services
JamSesh is music software that runs on your own Windows computer. We do not run, sell or host any AI model, and no AI processing happens on our servers. The price of JamSesh does not include any AI service.
JamSesh has an optional, off-by-default connection (an MCP connection on your own computer) that lets an AI assistant you choose yourself — for example Claude or ChatGPT — operate the app for you. You use that assistant under your own account and plan with its provider, and that provider's terms and usage policies apply to it. JamSesh does not see, store or send anything you or your assistant do; everything stays on your computer. You can switch the connection off at any time in Settings, and it is off every time JamSesh starts.
What you may use JamSesh for
- Making, recording, editing, mixing and performing music and sound, alone or with others.
- Using the included factory instruments (CC0) and your own sounds, plugins and recordings that you have the right to use.
- Letting your own AI assistant help you with these tasks through the optional connection.
What is not allowed
- Anything illegal, including content that sexualises minors, terrorist content, or content that incites violence or hatred.
- Infringing other people's rights: distributing music, samples or recordings you don't have the rights to, or removing credits and licence notices.
- Imitating or cloning a real person's voice or likeness without their consent, or creating deceptive audio meant to mislead (for example fake statements or fraud).
- Harassment, threats, or using JamSesh's online jam sessions or our community to abuse other people.
- Malware, attacks on our services, or using the AI connection or anything else to bypass the purchase code, licensing or security of JamSesh.
- Sharing, selling or publishing purchase codes, or cracked copies of JamSesh.
Higher-risk uses — such as voice imitation, content about real people, or anything aimed at children — need extra care: only do this with consent and in line with the law and your AI provider's rules.
How we monitor and enforce
Because JamSesh runs on your own computer and keeps your work there, we do not watch what you make. We act on what reaches us:
- Reports. Anyone can report misuse to support@getjamsesh.com or to the team in our Discord. We look at every report.
- Our own channels. Our website, purchase system and Discord community are moderated; Discord also uses automatic filters (for example to block shared purchase codes).
- Purchase and licence records. We keep the order data needed to deliver and, where needed, revoke a purchase code.
We may investigate reported misuse, ask for more information, keep the evidence we need, and cooperate with authorities or rights holders where the law requires it.
What we can do about violations
- Remove content from our website, Discord or other channels.
- Warn, mute or ban someone in our community.
- Refuse or end a sale, and revoke a purchase code — a revoked code stops unlocking saving and exporting in new versions of JamSesh; your own files are never deleted.
- Block access to our online services, such as purchase-code resending and updates.
- Report illegal content to the competent authorities.
We act in proportion to what happened. If you think we made a mistake, write to support@getjamsesh.com and we will look at it again.
